Located at 6840 Edinger Ave, Huntington Beach, CA 92647, Kung Pao Bowl operates as a chinese restaurant serving Huntington Beach in California. In cities with a Chinatown, weekend mornings bring dim sum carts or order sheets, and lines form early at the most popular spots in Huntington Beach; walk-ins are standard and reservations are uncommon outside large banquet restaurants. Regional labels matter: Cantonese, Sichuan, Hunan, Shanghainese and Taiwanese kitchens cook very differently, so a restaurant's stated region is a better guide to the food than the word "Chinese" alone. Some smaller restaurants in California are BYOB with no corkage fee; call ahead to confirm. A tip of 15-20% is customary for table service but not expected at counter-order takeout. Spice level, MSG and allergen questions are normal to ask before ordering, and most kitchens are happy to leave an ingredient out or tone down the heat if you mention it when ordering rather than after the food arrives.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. The most common schedule is 11 amβ8:30 pm. Huntington Beach is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Huntington Beach follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I have been dining at KPB for over 10 years and it pains me to see service taking a dip. I rate the food high because it is delicious, thereβs no doubt about it. Pricing has gone up yearly and itβs expected in this economy, but combined with how my visit went today, it might be helpful to others to have this information when ordering takeout. I ordered two entrees and a teriyaki bowl. All full sized entrees have always included their side of rice (white, brown, or basic fried rice). I requested two different types of rice for the two entrees. When I arrived I noticed one small container, the size of the appetizer to-go box. I mentioned that it looked like they forgot one rice side and the older Asian man yelled at me, raising his voice saying, βONE BOX IS TWO SIDES OK, 2-in-1!β I didnβt want to argue with him so I left. When I arrived home and opened the container, there was just white rice and the other type was missing; I didnβt receive what I paid for. Be aware when ordering takeout.

Tried this on a recommendation of a friend with a large group. What a great place! Quality food fresh and fast with great service. Usually after Chinese food I get the salt overload hangover the next day but didn't have it with this. It was just great tasting Chinese food between all of us. We shared a variety of delicious meals. I don't think you could go wrong here. Can't wait to go back! Looking forward to seeing the lunch menu.

I had such a wonderful dining experience here. Everything we ordered was prepared perfectly and tasted absolutely fresh. The honey walnut shrimp was a standout for me, especially with the bright, crisp broccoli and carrot pieces mixed in. The beef chow fun was also cooked just right with a great depth of flavor. I really loved how cozy the table setting felt with the warm tea service and the shared plates. It was such a satisfying meal and I cannot wait to return.

I've been going here for years! Now I take my granddaughters. They love it! Mike, Paul and Pauline treat us like family. My husband orders aromatic shrimp with walnuts, orders no glaze...he's diabetic. They always remember! I have several favorites: Mongolian Beef, Chicken with vegatables. They have great lunch specials!

3-17-25 love coming here! The food never disappoints. 9-27-24 after coming here many of moons I still have nothing but great things to say. They have new items which was ordered tofay...but it was so good I forgot to take pictures... I only snapped 1 of their cream cheese won tons. As soon as we entered we were greeted by friendly workers. The establishment is clean and vibrant. There was no wait and was instantly helped (it was about 1 hour before they closed). As we waiting I noticed all the nice art that was in the restaurant, great energy and vibe.Everything we ordered came out in the appropriate time. Every dish we had was yummy. I liked their style of walnut shrimp... lightly flavored...not overly sweet...slightly crispy! The hostess, the waiter and the cook checked on us to see if everything was good and refilled out drinks. Over all the experience here was awesome. All the workers there are friendly and awesome!! I hope everyone who comes has a similar experience and or better.
